Privacy Policy

Who we are

Off Grid Land Development is an off-grid contractor serving all 33 New Mexico counties — off-grid solar, well drilling, solar well pumps, and septic systems. This policy covers offgridlanddevelopment.com and the forms, estimators, proposals, and checkout flows on it. “We” and “us” mean Off Grid Land Development.

We do not publish a walk-in street address on this site, so the contact routes below — email and phone — are the ways to reach us about anything in this policy.

Information you give us

Quote requests

The quote request form asks for your name, email address, and phone number, and which services you’re interested in. You can optionally add a property address, free-text notes, and per-service details such as property size, target well depth, water-table information, rig access, existing well status, soil or percolation notes, appliances you want to power, and whether you have a backup generator. We also record which page the request came from so we know how you found us.

Solar estimator

If you complete the solar estimator, we store the answers you provide and the sizing result we calculate: name, email, phone, property address and map coordinates, property type, mount and roof type, distance to a ground mount, the appliances and usage you selected, whether you have a generator, desired days of battery autonomy, delivery access, and the resulting system size, panel and battery counts, inverter model, and estimated price.

Orders, proposals, and contracts

• Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout pages. Your full card number never reaches our servers and we never store it.
• Order records. From a completed checkout we receive and store your name, email, phone, shipping address, the amount and items purchased, and Stripe’s session and payment identifiers, plus any shipment tracking numbers we later add.
• Proposals and e-signatures. When you view, accept, decline, or sign a proposal or contract we send you, we record the action and its date and time, the name recorded as the signer, the signature image you draw or type, your IP address and browser user-agent string, and a hash of the signed document. That record is what makes the signature verifiable, so we keep it with the agreement.
• Job files. Documents and site photos attached to your project — permits, plans, signed PDFs, install photos — are stored in our cloud file storage.

Messages you send us

Emails, texts, and voicemails you send are kept as part of the project record for the job they relate to.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics and ad measurement. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. These set cookies or similar identifiers and report pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived at the site, and whether you clicked our phone number or submitted a form. We use this in aggregate to see what’s working — not to build a profile of you personally.
• Maps. The estimator uses Google Maps Platform for address autocomplete and satellite imagery. The address you type and the map location you pick are sent to Google to return those results.
• Abuse prevention. Our forms are rate-limited by IP address. That IP is held in the server’s memory for a short window (minutes) and is not written to our database. Ordinary web server and hosting logs may also record IP addresses and requests.

Why we use it

• To answer your quote request and follow up about your project.
• To size, design, and price a system for your property.
• To schedule, permit, and perform the work.
• To process orders, deposits, shipping, and invoices.
• To produce and keep proposals, contracts, and signature records.
• To keep the site working, prevent form spam and abuse, and measure our advertising.
• To meet tax, warranty, licensing, and other legal recordkeeping obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do use these service providers, each of which handles data on our behalf under its own privacy terms:

• Stripe — payment processing for kit purchases and proposal deposits.
• Resend — sending quote notifications, proposals, contracts, and invoices by email.
• EmailJS — sends the order-confirmation message from your browser after checkout.
• Google — Analytics, Ads conversion measurement, and Maps Platform.
• Amazon Web Services — website hosting, database, and document and photo storage.

We also share what’s necessary with suppliers, freight carriers, subcontractors, and permitting or inspection authorities to actually deliver equipment and complete your job — for example, giving a carrier your delivery address, or filing a septic or well permit with the relevant New Mexico authority. Beyond that, we disclose information only when the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and your analytics choices

The analytics and ads cookies described above are set by Google when their script loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking these does not affect your ability to request a quote or place an order. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals.

How long we keep it

• Quote requests and estimator results are kept while we’re working with you and afterward as a record of what was proposed, unless you ask us to delete them.
• Orders, invoices, contracts, and signature records are kept for as long as needed to honor warranties and to satisfy tax, accounting, licensing, and legal requirements.
• Rate-limiting IP data is discarded within minutes and on every server restart.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. The admin area is password-protected, session-limited, and rate-limited against repeated login attempts. Project documents live in access-controlled cloud storage and are served through short-lived, expiring links. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we don’t collect more than we need, and we don’t keep card numbers at all.

Access, correction, and deletion

We’re a small New Mexico contractor and we don’t meet the size or revenue thresholds that make laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation apply to us. We’re not going to claim obligations we don’t have. We will, regardless, honor these requests from anyone:

• Ask us what information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information.
• Ask us to stop contacting you.

Email or call using the details below. We respond within 5 business days. If we have to keep something — a signed contract, a paid invoice, a warranty record — we’ll tell you exactly what and why, and delete the rest.

Children

This site is meant for property owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
