Usually you should not. NMSA § 7-9-112 lets the seller deduct receipts from the sale and installation of a qualifying solar system, so qualifying projects should not carry GRT. We handle that paperwork on our installs.
No — the federal 25D residential clean-energy credit terminated December 31, 2025, so there is no federal residential credit in 2026. New Mexico’s gross receipts tax deduction for solar is separate and still applies to qualifying systems.
